Workshop 2: clarifying the Commission’s requests for a Suitable Alternative Generally Applicable (SAGA) – The Authorisation applications of chrome plating with decorative character
The Authorisation applications of chrome plating with decorative character challenged by regulators
CETS and Eurometaux would like to invite applicants, their consultants and Decorative chrome plating representatives to a series of 2 web-based workshops to clarify the challenged authorisation applications.
In order to help industry solve this uncertainty, CETS (the European organisation representing platers) and Eurometaux would like to invite you for a series of 2 clarification webinar workshops aiming at:
- collecting the different applicants’ views on the requests in the Commission’s letter,
- having a debrief on SEAC’s first discussion on the SAGA concept and
- helping in aligning views to increase the potential for a successful reply.
The two webinars are planned as follows:
- A first workshop scheduled for Thursday 28 May from 13:30 to 16:45 (CEST), where applicants could give short presentations*
- A second workshop on Thursday 18 June from 13:30 to 16:00 (CEST) whereby we would report on the ECHA SEAC discussion and discuss / promote alignments of the applicants’ views
Who can attend the webinars and what is expected?
The webinars are organised to help the applicants and the users concerned, but also to progress with the thinking on the concepts proposed in the Commission’s letter. We therefore invite applicants and their consultants as well as companies applying and main user sector representatives. ECHA considers the webinars important and will participate in them. The Commission is invited to attend as an observer to listen to the presentations and discussions.
For the first webinar all applicants or their representatives/consultants are invited to briefly explain their views* on the identification of “utilisation” and interpretation of the SAGA concept as raised in the Commission letter. This would help us all to develop / promote suggestions for alignment.
Please complete the registration form if you are interested in participating in any of both webinars by using the following link: https://form.jotform.com/201354624127347
A detailed agenda for both webinars as well as call-in instructions and *suggestions for the brief explanations of applicants’ views, will be mailed by Monday 25 May to all registered parties.
